WEDDINGS

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I am an ordained minister and wedding officiant who specializes in nondenominational/interfaith wedding ceremonies in the Portland Metropolitan area and other locations around Oregon and southern Washington.

I honor all faiths traditions, lifestyles, and cultures. Couples often choose me to perform their wedding or commitment ceremony when they are merging two different faiths and want to be respectful of each.

Many of the ceremonies I perform are for couples that may not be participating in any formal spiritual tradition, but at the same time understand the sacredness of getting married.

I believe that marriage is a sacrament. Therefore your wedding ceremony is sacred and I strive to bring that experience to your special day.

Each couple is unique. I work with you to create a wedding ritual that reflects who you are and what you believe. When we meet together I bring a basic ceremony that we review together, adding to and editing to make it perfect for you. Special rituals such as including the children, unity candles, communion, etc., can be added.

ELOPEMENT CEREMONY

While my favorite way of supporting a couple at a wedding is to personalize their service to them specifically, there are times when people are looking for something simpler. I do perform a simple version of my basic ceremony for those looking for an elopement or justice of the peace style wedding. The ceremony is still sacred, it just has not been tailored for you.

This ceremony can be done at my office or at a nearby park. The fee is $175. Remember that there is a three day waiting period in Oregon after you attain your license. If you let me know ahead of time, I can arrange to provide two witnesses.

FEES AND SERVICES

My fee for a basic ceremony is $250. This price includes:

Free initial consult either by phone or at my office in NE Portland.

A meeting with both of you a few weeks before your wedding at my office lasting usually about an hour and a half where you share your story and we go over the ceremony.

The day of the wedding I come approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled ceremony and stay after the ceremony long enough to make sure everything is signed and completed and to wish you blessing on your journey!

Travel. There is an additional fee for ceremonies outside of the Portland area. This fee varies depending on distance and travel time.

Rehearsal. While it is not always necessary to have me at the rehearsal, I am more than happy to be present and walk you and your wedding party through the ceremony. There is a fee of $125 for this service.
